The Team

ANTHONY AUGUSTUS

thrives on challenges. He comes with a background in marketing and tourism development.    Born to Keralite parents in Malaysia on a rubber plantation estate where his father was an administrator, his parents moved back to India in the 70’s which in his words a “traumatic experience”.  He spent the next 25 years in Puducherry a former French colony where he met his future Franco-Puducherrian wife of Tamil origin.

He moved to France in 2001 where he is settled in Paris with their only daughter.  He juggles his time between having a full time job, managing his web portals and his web design company that he set up in India and networking.  With roots in Malaysia, half of his life spent in Puducherry and with his family in his native magic Kerala he decided that all these experiences were too precious to be forgotten.  

He launched www.pio-indians.com for all those like him who were born somewhere, lived somewhere and settled somewhere. He believes that everyone has some wonderful stories to share. He speaks fluent Malayalam,Tamil and French.

 

SATHISH

He is the Chief Technology Officer and Managing Partner of Faircommerce Solutions India. He has been the design architect of the PIO INDIANS web portal.  After freelancing and working in Auroville for several years he founded 150dpi a top notch web design company delivering state of the art websites for clients in India and abroad. He manages the company's technology infrastructure, with staff and resources in India. Sathish has a successful track record of IT leadership of almost 10 years with broad experience across network management, search engine marketing (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO), database management and website operations. He demonstrates an unbelievable talent in interactive graphic design carefully handcrafting layouts using XHTML/CSS and W3C XHTML Strict Standards. He lives in Auroville with his wife and new born Krish.

 

 

 

 

Ms. PARVATHI GANESH

Ms. Parvathi Ganesh is a Fellow at the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM-L). She completed her M.Phil (Commerce) from Pondicherry Central University and passed her Masters’ in Finance with a Gold Medal (First Rank) from Kerala University. Parvathi was one among the youngest scholars in India to be awarded the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Commerce by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi to pursue her Doctoral Studies. She is an Expert in Financial Management, Emerging Market Economies and Rural Management.

 

 

 

 

 

RHEMA MUKTI BAXTER

Rhema Mukti Baxter is a pass-out of the Asian College of Journalism, batch of 2011 who has half a Masters degree in English Literature under her belt.

When asked to describe herself she quoted from her blog, “From the ramblings of a hyperactive imagination comes the story of a technologically-challenged, socially-ambidextrous, serendipity-loving identity. Explore at your own risk.”

Blissfully unemployed, a staunch Pre-Lapsarian, she believes in the fickleness of life and meditates on the funny side of it, preferably. A life-enthusiast armed with good humour and a backpack of nerdy ideas, she is devoted to mind-numbing activities, for example, being a Reporter. A grammar-nazi by nature, she is an arbit follower of all things odd who also loves being referred to as a whatever-preneur. BHUMIKA POPLI

Bhumika Popli was born into a Punjabi family and grew up in Bikaner, Rajasthan. A graduate from Asian College of Journalism, she is an independent writer and photographer. Music and Poetry are close to her heart. She possesses the distinct ability to find art in the things she sees around her. She is an ardent admirer of knowledge and believes learning never stops.
